Amazing amazing amazing !
We had THE best day ever with these guys.
From booking to pick up, to the end of the day we cannot fault the service.
Our crew were amazing. Entertaining and focused. The boat was clean and comfortable.
Our taxi driver Junior was on time. The car clean and junior talked to us and was very i formative. When we got to the beach we were met by Fadi and then escorted to our boat Cana.
The fact we caught a fish a beautiful Mahimahi was a pure bonus. We did loose 2 Marlin... biy those fish fight.
Use these guys and fish caught or not you will have THE best time xxx

We went on a 4hr tip had several bites caught a fish and had an up close look at the whales great captain and mate would fish with them again if in punta Cana thanks again

We booked a charter online and were not let down. We had a group of 5 for 6 hours and went out on the Gone Dog, the boat and crew were excellent. In fairly rough water we got all sorts good fishing in, they were great at keeping bait on the lines and sorting through getting all 5 rods hooked up at once and landing all 5 perfectly. In the end we caught mahi mahi, wahoo and some tuna! Highly recommend booking with the guys from the Gone Dog!

Awesome experience - 4 fisherman on the Sherlock II for 6hrs was a fantastic experience. Andre and Captain Rosario were great coaches whether a novelist like me or seasoned fishermen like others in our group. Dorados are excellent catches and meals!!

Left my cell phone in the transport from the hotel and it was returned to the hotel the next day!!

Super service you cannot go wrong with Big Marlin Charters!!

We went fishing on November 30th. We loved everything. The boat was clean and well-maintained. The staff was top-notch. There were a variety of drinks on board, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We didn't return empty-handed. I give it a solid 5. When tuna season comes, we'll go in search of it. I hope we catch this beauty too.

I recently had 2nr 9hr Charters with Big Marlin (Dec 2025). The first was on "Gone Dog" and the Second was on "Cana".
Had Great Fishing on Both Days with the Crews being very knowledgeable and attentive. You can tell that catching fish is their passion. Caught my first ever Sailfish and my PB Mahi Mahi.
If your in Punta Cana and want a good days fishing at very reasonable price I cannot recommend these guys enough.
From booking, to transfers, to fishing all went smoothly and communication was excellent.

amazing day with Big Marlin Charters in Punta Cana! We did the 6-hour deep sea fishing tour with "sherlock II"
The crew (Andy and Leo) was super friendly and professional, and they made sure we were comfortable the entire time. The highlight of the trip was reeling in several mahi-mahis and a couple of barracuda.
in addition, we received a very comprehensive lesson on the history of the Dominican Republic 😃

We chartered the Fortuna from Big Marlin Charters in Punta Cana last week and added the snorkeling package. What an amazing experience for our first time deep sea fishing. Our captain and first mate Eddie were great. Eddie was so much fun and extremely sociable. We caught two Mahi and then did a little old school fishing while snorkeling and caught two yellow tail and a huge needle fish. Added bonus was that the Jellyfish restaurant cooked our catch for us!

We did an offshore fishing trip with Big Marlin Charters Punta Cana. It was a great experience from the time we booked it until the time they dropped us off back at our hotel. The communication was great, the experience was top notch and we caught a bunch of fish! Had something really big on, but unfortunately it got off before we could see what it was. Will definitely use them again if we decide to do any kind of deep sea and offshore fishing in the future.

We had an incredible time today with Alfred and Kervin aboard the Cana with Big Marlin Charters! Our family absolutely loved the 4-hour trip, and the added snorkeling at the end was a perfect bonus. We reeled in several mahi-mahi and barracuda—such an unforgettable experience. Everything from hotel pick-up to drop-off was smooth and hassle-free. Alfred and Kervin were outstanding Captain & Mate, and our only regret is not booking a longer charter!

We had an amazing offshore trip on Sunday with Captain Miguel and First Mate Miguel (aka “Dos Miguels”)! I highly recommend booking a charter with Big Marlin Charters. From the moment we were picked up in the morning to the drop-off at the end of the day, everything was seamless, professional, and safe.
They kept us on the fish all day long! Although we offshore fish regularly back in the U.S., it was a real treat to experience a charter in the Dominican Republic — and this one exceeded expectations.
If we make it back to Punta Cana, we’ll definitely be booking with Big Marlin Charters again. Thanks again to the crew for an unforgettable day on the water!

I definitely recommend this company. My wife and I were picked up at our hotel, taken directly to the boat location and we were underway. We were only out for about 45 min before she was sea sick and we had to turn back (I did catch one mahi atleast). They were very accommodating and when we got back the manager gave us half our money back which was very nice (we were expecting that as it was our ask to come back and cut the trip short). They then took us back to our hotel it was very easy. The captain and first mate were also very enjoyable. definitely give these guys a try if you’re looking to try some fishing in the DR.

					  GREAT FISHING CHARTER ON CANA!! - Fishing trip on fishing boat CANA.  A friend and I took the 4-hour morning charter and had a great time.  I asked the resort to contact BIG MARLIN CHARTERS by phone the day before to confirm our trip which they did (even though I had confirmed with them through Tripadvisor already, just wanted to make sure). The private transportation by MAX (with BIG MARLIN CHARTERS) from our resort (Breathless) and back was on-time and provided in air-conditioned van.  I asked MAX if we could buy some Big Marlin Charters shirts when we were picked up and he called ahead and had them waiting at the marina ($35).  We were picked up at 7:30 AM from our resort and the first fishing line was in the water around 8:30 AM.  Captain KELBE and fishing deckhand ALFREDO did a great job and knew exactly what they were doing to give us the best chance to catch fish.  We caught a total of 6 fish (4 Mahi Mahi, 1 Barracuda, and 1 Remora).   KELBE and ALFREDO filleted and bagged the fish on ice for us to take back to our resort.  Boat and tackle were great!  Water was beautiful!   CANA is a good size boat for a fishing party of up to 4.  I would definitely book with BIG MARLIN CHARTERS again and this same boat (CANA).

					  Top notch captain best in puta cana  - Mugel captain of boat absolutely nothing better of a choice absolutely top notch new the sea that he runs his charter you will not be disappointed 2nd mate no better person for a captain to have thay treat you fantastic highly highly recommend to get you a catch  jeff from Minnesota  1 Marlin  triple Mahi Mahi change my luck in life there is no better boat to charter

					  Excellent!  - Excellent 6hrs!!!!! I have done a lot of big game fishing by myself, but wanted my friends and family to experience it.  Expected to catch a few barracuda and maybe a Mahi Mahi, but we were stunned to catch a Blue Marlin (and even rose another 10mins later), we also got a barracuda.  This gave us the best experience.  Having been lucky enough to catch a few myself already, to give my son this experience was a great day - one he won’t forget!!!

We booked through their website and paid a deposit, we were picked up on time direct from the hotel and taken to the beach. Staff on board were excellent and very welcoming, the equipment is a bit dated, but good enough for the fishing.  There is not a jetty to access the boat, you have to get into a small boat and get taken to the main boat (not a problem for us, but others may find this difficult).  Would recommend.

					  Gone fishing  - A great day fishing, we did a six hour trip and it was fantastic,Andy the first mate was brilliant, we managed to catch 6 fish which was a good result. Highly recommend

					  Great Experience!! - Great , professional Company and crew!!  Although, not catching it was definitely not due to lack of effort!!

Went on “Blue Sky”. 6 hours. W/ Cpt. Francis and 1st Mate Andy. Great crew!! Got picked up by them in lobby of hotel in Cap Cana. Max great driver. Nice clean ice cold AC van.  Seemless. 

Met right at beach by 1st mate Andy. Explained boats are on moorings because there is no Marina there. Got on taxi boat 1 min to boat.  Very smooth. 

Once on Andy went through every detail not a question needed to be asked. Headed out about 20-30 mins. Lines in the water. 

Caught a couple small ones. Dorado, Barracuda. Got a couple rockets out of the water taking a jab at the bait. Missed. Again, not due to lack of trying. Will definitely keep their info for next time we are back. Highly recommend!!

					  Great fishing trip  - My wife and I had an awesome half day fishing charter with captain Miguel. We were on our last day of vacation and booked a fishing very spontaneously. The boat Sherlock was beautiful, gear was very nice and fishing was a blast. Miguel was awesome too. He was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. If we're ever in the Dominican republic again we'll definitely plan another fishing with him. Definitely recommend capt Miguel and boat Sherlock.

					  Excelente! - Absolutely excellent full day fishing charter! Boat Cana well equipped and well maintained. There was 3 of us and we caught 7 mahi and two small cuda. Captain Miguel gave our family a fantastic fishing trip experience. He is one of the best local fishermen and captain. Will definitely be back the next time we're in the Dominican Republic. Thank you Big marlin!

					  Memorable experience! - Memorable experience. Best half day charter in Punta Cana! Nice clean boat. Captain Coco was awesome and put us right on the good spot to have a successful trip. Highly recommend captain Coco and Rozario. Sure definitely will be back soon.

					  Great time catching - Miguel and Alfred were great!  We were able to get for Mahi on the boat.  Then hand caught a bunch of bait amberjacks. We had a great time!  Will definitely come back
