We went on Sherlock 2 with captain Richard and he and his first mate were amazing, funny talkative and nice. I cannot express the ease of communication with cpt. Yustas as well, it was easy professional and he answered all my questions. Between booking in September to our trip yesterday he confirmed our booking time slot # of people and where we were staying for our ride. Max the driver was also quite friendly and nice as well! We booked a 6 hour trip and only really fished about 2 hours but still managed to get 6 fish in the boat….. we had a great day and decided to call it early because of rough conditions and a few people getting sea sick. This is no fault of theirs and conditions were discussed in advance. Each person in our family made the call to still go on the boat. I say all this because they did everything right, we were told 4-6 foot swell and it was. I will not say it was a smooth ride it was big swell nothing the boat could not handle. And the captain maneuvered the waves the best he could. But rocking and rolling was just a part of the game. Just know your limits and communicate with your guide. I would 100% book with them in a heartbeat.

My son and I we did the four hour trip and it was a lot of fun this afternoon on the Sherlock boat. Captain Richard took us to some great spots ahead of the Punta Cana marina. We enjoyed his hospitality, the boat, the Dominican bochata and the weather in the Dominican Republic. Captain Sherlock's boat Richard even suggested a good place to eat and then we went fishing and successfully caught a couple mahi-mahi and three barracuda. We hope to return for another trip when the water is a little warmer - this trip was in early March. If you are looking for a fun, courteous and knowledgeable captain, Richard and his assistant Andy are your guys! We will definitely book another one when we are in Dominican Republic! Thanks Yustas and Big Marlin Charters for helping us create wonderful memories of our vacation in Punta Cana

I have went deep sea fishing in several places in the Caribbean's, Hawaii, and other places. I usually book my own private boat since I like catching every fish that is on the line. This was the best experience I have ever had even though we only caught 1 fish. Not sure if someone cancelled due to the high waves predicted but I was booked on the Cana 32’, and was upgraded at no cost to the Fortuna 42’ as the waves were suppose to be 5-6’ or greater. Turns out the water calmed down after 2 hours so my remaining 4 hours were extremely pleasant. I would totally recommend anyone wanting a great experience deep sea fishing to book with this company. 10 stars out of 10. Thank you to my captain and 1st mate who was always looked out for when the bait was chewed up and had a new hook and bait on quickly.

Absolutely awesome experience. These guys were top-notch and we felt totally cared for and directed clearly from the moment we were picked up by the driver. We went from driver to Captain to crew to boat. We were never left unattended or confused. And our captain and first mate were absolutely amazing, considerate, knowledgeable, and really cared about our experience. Our boys caught multiple mahi-mahi and had an awesome time. We all got a little seasick, and we decide to call it quits just a little bit early and there was no issue and everything was just spectacular. Highly highly recommend. Thank you for an awesome day!

Perfect fishing day!The pick up was on time, the driver was nice and gave us some useful information about the trip!The boat was in good condition and the crew was super friendly!We caught 8 mahi mahi within the first 3 hours and from then on we were a bit „unlucky“.Nevertheless the crew did their best to make sure we won’t get bored on board!I can definitely recommend booking a trip with them.There was no rip off or anything like that and the charter was exactly as long as we agreed upon booking.We took some of our catch to our hotel and it was delicious.

  Excellent!  - Excellent 6hrs!!!!! I have done a lot of big game fishing by myself, but wanted my friends and family to experience it. Expected to catch a few barracuda and... read more maybe a Mahi Mahi, but we were stunned to catch a Blue Marlin (and even rose another 10mins later), we also got a barracuda. This gave us the best experience. Having been lucky enough to catch a few myself already, to give my son this experience was a great day - one he won’t forget!!!

We booked through their website and paid a deposit, we were picked up on time direct from the hotel and taken to the beach. Staff on board were excellent and very welcoming, the equipment is a bit dated, but good enough for the fishing. There is not a jetty to access the boat, you have to get into a small boat and get taken to the main boat (not a problem for us, but others may find this difficult). Would recommend.
